Red Dragon Ride

Due to a small participant turnout, the Red Dragon Ride for the summer of 2009 has been cancelled.  The organizing committee is considering alternate dates for 2010 and will post dates to the website as soon as they are finalized.  Any questions should be directed to Raymond Franco.

The Cortland community and SUNY Cortland would like to welcome cyclists to the Red Dragon Ride. Proceeds from this event will support scholarships for Cortland county students who attend SUNY Cortland as well as youth programs at the Cortland County YMCA.

Come for the ride and a memorable weekend in beautiful upstate New York. Located in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of Central New York, Cortland is just off Route 81, a major north-south interstate highway.  Three rides on Saturday of approximately 25, 55, and 80 miles and two rides on Sunday of approximately 40 and 55 miles are planned for your cycling enjoyment.

A small city of about 20,000, Cortland offers a quaint downtown business district with shops and restaurants, as well as easy access to biking trails and rivers and lakes. Ithaca and Syracuse are just a short drive away.
