Chart Columns

Scholarship Name - The name of the scholarship. If you click on the scholarship name, it will take you to a separate page that will give you more specific information about that scholarship.  The additional information includes: scholarship type, eligibility criteria, award amount, award availability, application process, deadlines and dates.

Application required - Indicates whether or not an application is necessary.

Need-based - Based totally or partially on whether or not a student has need. Students must file a FAFSA to determine need.

Merit-based - Based on GPA and leadership activities.

So. Jr. Sr. Gr.- Shows what class standing you have to have to receive the award. Remember that in most instances you will be applying for the next school year not the current one.  So if you are a sophomore today and you are applying for a scholarship for the following year you should be looking at the junior level scholarships.

Major/Criteria - Gives a few general specifics about the scholarship.

When you click on the scholarship name and it gives you the additional information, read through the complete description of the scholarship. Be sure to pay close attention to the application process. It will tell you where to find the application and how to apply. Several of the scholarships may be applied for by using the on-line application located on your myRedDragon account. Other scholarships may not require an application or you may have to pick up an application in a specific department.
