Funding Opportunities

SUNY Cortland participates in most federal and state financial aid programs. When you receive your award letter, it will contain one or more of the four major types of financial aid listed below. 

• Grants and Student Employment
  
• Federal Direct Loans
• Scholarships
• Additional Funding Opportunities and Private Loans

Most grants, student employment and loan eligibility are determined by using the information on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA.) SUNY Cortland recommends that you file your FAFSA by March 1.
