What is Peer-Led Team Learning?

Three PLTL students working together at a table to solve a problem

The Peer-Led Team Learning (PLTL) Workshop is designed to increase student success in undergraduate STEM classes. Students meet weekly and work together in small groups to learn how to solve difficult problems. PLTL Team Leaders are students who have done well in the class, attended training, and work closely with faculty.

In Spring 2013, SUNY Cortland piloted the PLTL model in one section of Chemistry 221.  We now offer PLTL for all sections of Chemistry 221!
