Transfer Programming and Support

Transfer Connect is a series of programs designed especially for new transfers. Most Transfer Connect events are offered during the first two weeks of the semester. A combination of both social and academic programming has been designed to help new transfer students meet each other and have the opportunity to have their academic questions addressed.

Transfer Student Blog has been created to provide the most uptodate information to new transfer students. The blog will be updated regularly so make sure to follow the blog for updates, news, events, and more!

COR 129: Enhancing the Transfer Experience is a one credit transfer seminar course that is being offered fall 2012 to assist new transfers with your transition to the College.

Transfer Tips! A quick reference to useful tips and pointers.

Transfer Buddy Returning transfer students have volunteered to serve as a buddy to new transfer students.  You will receive a buddy and contact information will be shared between the two of you.  Your transfer buddy will make initial contact by the end of the first week of classes.  However, if you'd like to contact your buddy once you have received their name and email, go for it!  The amount of contact you make with your buddy can be as frequent or infrequent as you would like.  The relationship depends on what you need and there are no assigned meetings.

Transfer buddies are available to:

  • Respond to questions or concerns
  • Offer tips
  • Share information about upcoming events and programming
  • Send reminders and deadlines
