During the parent and guest program you will:
- learn about resources and policies
- understand what college life will be like for student
- discuss how to support your student
- gain answers to questions
The program is a day and a half long. Check-in is at 10 a.m. on the first day. The program ends by 2 p.m. on the second day. View the First Year Orientation Schedule Draft (PDF) for details about the program.
Students are required to stay on campus the night of the orientation program in a residence hall. Guest are welcome to stay in a different residence hall on campus or at a local hotel. We regret that we are unable to accommodate early arrivals.
Transfer Orientation and Advisement
Transfer Orientation and Advisement is a day-long program. Check-in is at 8:30 a.m. and the program ends by 4:30 p.m. View the Transfer Orientation Schedule Draft (PDF) for details about the day.
Housing is available on a limited basis for students and guests who need to arrive the evening before the program.
Making a Reservation
Guest reservations should be made online through the student's myRedDragon account.
Option 1: Includes meals, program and materials - $60 per person
Option 2: Includes housing, linens, meals, program and materials - $80 per person
$25/person: Includes meal, program and materials
Additional $20 per person for on campus housing the night prior to the seminar. (Referred to as early arrival in the reservation system.)
