Academic Resources

  • Academic Peer Mentor: undergraduate student that lives in the residence hall and is trained to be a resource for students with academic concerns
  • Academic Support and Achievement Program (ASAP): helps students learn how they learn best by offering academic support to students of all ability and achievement levels through tutoring in writing, reading, math and student skills
  • College Catalog: includes admission information, academic policies of the College, requirements for bachelor’s degrees, descriptions of courses and requirements for majors and minors
  • COR 101: required one credit, graded seminar designed to facilitate the intellectual and social integration of  first-time college students into the SUNY Cortland academic community
  • Degree Works: comprehensive degree audit system
  • Library: provides an array of services, including research and reference help, inter-library loan, and instruction in computer and library information
  • myRedDragon: student web portal that includes billing and financial information, library resources and many academic resources (degree audit, advisor information, grades)
  • Registrar's Office: provides support for course registration, academic calendars, transcripts, degree audits and curriculum information

Additional Campus Resources

  • ASC: includes the College Bookstore, ID card services, dining services, and other services such as laundry, packages, and microfridge rental
  • Campus Activities: works with student clubs and organizations to provide events and activities for SUNY Cortland students
  • Financial Aid: provides financial services, advice and education on making education more affordable
  • Parking: monitors all on-campus parking
  • Residence Life and Housing: oversees all on-campus housing and provides programs and services for students living on campus
  • Student Accounts: coordinates billing and payments on student accounts
  • Student Conduct: develops and administers the Code of Student Conduct
  • Student Government Association: the voice of the student body and supported by the Mandatory Activity Fee; funds over 60 student clubs and organizations as well as the weekend and break bus transportation to downstate locations
  • Student Health Service: provides diagnosis and treatment of common medical illinesses as well as referrals to specialists as needed.
  • The Help Center: technology and library support area for students, faculty and staff
  • University Police: police force of 19 sworn police officers that work to protect the lives and property of students, employees and visitors of SUNY Cortland
