What We Do

We have many services to make your library experience both helpful and memorable. We can help you by checking out your books, giving assistance with technology, advising you on research questions, or ordering books or articles from other libraries. If you need help, please ask any of the faculty and staff at the library.

Student Reading

You can borrow most of the books and other items found in the library, and the library has a generous loan period for students, faculty and community members. Your teachers and faculty may put readings and other items on reserve and these can be borrowed according to the time limits set by the faculty. Items are borrowed and returned at the The Help Center. Fines are charged for late and damaged items - but don't forget you can renew most books online through the "Login" link in the catalog.bout Interlibrary Loan

Research Help

Sometimes it can be tough to know where to start when researching a topic, or where to find information, or what type of material will be best for your research (should I use a book? a newspaper?  a database?  microfilm?). The Research Help desk, located in the main lobby next to the Help Center, is staffed by librarians who can help you find the information you need. Librarians also serve as liaisons to academic departments, which means that they specialize in the collections and work of those academic subjects.  Students can make one-on-one research appointments with their department liaisons as needed.  We're here to help!  Even when the desk isn't open, a 24/7 chat service is available.

Interlibrary Loan

If our library doesn’t have what you need, it is likely that the item can be borrowed from another library. This free service available to students allows us to have books, articles, and other items sent from libraries across the country. If you can’t find what you are looking for, be sure to ask a librarian at the Reference and Research desk on how to get started.

The librarians offer sessions on database use, tours and other classes as requested by teachers and faculty.
