Reserving Spaces in the Library

Conference Room

The conference room may be reserved for meetings and other college activities. If classes are not scheduled, reservations can be made through EMS on the Faculty/Staff tab in MyRedDragon.

Interactive Reference Area

The Interactive Reference Area (IRA) may be reserved by faculty for library instruction activities. Faculty are encouraged to work with the liaison assigned to their department.

Reservations can be made through EMS on the Faculty/Staff tab in MyRedDragon.

Study Carrels

Six carrels are available for full-time faculty to reserve for one semester, 24 carrels are available to students to reserve for one semester, and the remaining 6 carrels may be reserved for a three-hour period.

All carrels are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis at the beginning of each semester.  Memorial Library will send an email to faculty and students announcing the availability of carrels for the semester and include a link to a form for those wishing to apply for a carrel for the semester.

Faculty and students may reapply for a carrel each semester; however, the carrels will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.   A previous semester carrel assignment does not translate into an automatic assignment for the following semester.

Faculty or students who have applied for and been assigned a carrel for five consecutive semesters are not eligible for a sixth consecutive semester.  They may reapply for a carrel after waiting for one semester.
