This policy does not pertain to networked printing/copying

Microtext Policy

Faculty, emeritus faculty, staff, students, and retired library staff may make up to 25 copies of library Microtext per day. Qualified users must present their own Cortland ID card each time they make copies.

If users need to make more than 25 copies per day, they can fill out the Microtext Copying Appeal Form. (You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the file. You can download a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html)

 

Photocopy policy for Faculty, emeritus faculty, staff, and retired library staff

Faculty, emeritus faculty, staff, and retired library staff may make up to 25 copies of library materials. Qualified users must present their own Cortland ID card each time they make copies.

Faculty and staff do not accumulate credit toward free printing which could be used to make large numbers of copies at a single visit, thus exceeding the 25 free copies per day limit.

What Can Be Copied

  • Memorial Library materials
  • books or fiche borrowed from another library through Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

What Cannot be Copied

  • personal material (tax returns, financial transactions, traffic tickets, etc.)
  • multiple copies of the same item of library material

Where Can Copies Be Made

  • the copier behind the Circulation Desk
  • the copier behind the Periodicals Desk
  • microtext reader/printers

Identification

  • Faculty, emeritus faculty, staff, and retired library staff must present their own Cortland ID card each time they wish to make copies.
