SUNY Cortland Tradition of Giving

Every alumni gift, no matter the amount, helps make a difference for the College. Participation, at any level, demonstrates the strong connection alumni have to the SUNY Cortland experience. The percentage of alumni participation (not total dollar amount) is considered a barometer of engagement, satisfaction and value, so please consider joining your peers in giving and spread the word that every gift counts.

Participation is so important because it is one of the variables factored into national collegiate rankings. As more alumni give, SUNY Cortland advances in the rankings, allowing each degree to have greater value and prestige. It also helps the Cortland Foundation secure additional funding from corporations and other foundations.

Alumni participation in giving is the “vote of confidence” you can provide others about the SUNY Cortland experience, based upon your own experiences and education. Please consider a gift today. Even small gifts have the power to support the College’s endeavors.

The SUNY Cortland Tradition of Giving recognizes gifts in the following levels

Hilltop Society ($500 to $999)
Old Main Society ($250 to $499)
Red and White Society ($150 to $249)
