Red Dragon Homecoming

SUNY Cortland will celebrate its pride as never before with a full slate of events during Red Dragon Homecoming weekend Sept. 15-16.

Students, alumni, faculty and staff and members of the community are all encouraged to witness the unveiling of a permanent Red Dragon sculpture in front of the SUNY Cortland Stadium Complex at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16. A generous donation from Mike Vela '88 helped fund the sculpture, which was crafted by artist and SUNY Cortland lecturer Scott Oldfield '06.

After the big reveal, those attending will be asked to participate in an historic group photo celebrating the College's Sesquicentennial. There will be a limited number of free T-shirts and an ice cream party on the Stadium Complex Red Field before the football game against Hartwick College. The College's 2017 C-Club Hall of Fame inductees will be recognized at halftime.
