SPM 675 - International Sport Law
Explores the legal aspects pertaining to the governing bodies of international sport in both Olympic and non-Olympic contexts. Topics include: individual athlete eligibility and player transfers; drug use and testing; intellectual property, including copyright and trademark protection; contractual issues related to bidding on events, sponsorship, endorsements and agreements for competition; dispute resolution between governing entities; global media contracts including television and new media; and the interface between state, national and global government agencies and organizations with sport.
