POL 420 - The American Presidency

Course focuses on dilemmas of the modern presidency: its power vs. its responsibility, the person vs. the institution, the simultaneous drives toward activism and restraint. Also the president's interaction with the rest of the government, the media, the people. Current presidential politics and policymaking included. (3 cr. hr.)
