PHI 272 - Utopias

An investigation of the concept of ideal societies. The course will investigate the literary expressions of utopian sentiment, historical attempts at founding utopian communities and the philosophical implications of utopian thought.

Prerequisite: Three hours of philosophy or consent of instructor.
