HIS 419 - U.S. Radicalism

History of U.S. radical movements and ideas in the 20th century. Discussion of social conditions; each movement’s internal dynamics with a focus on class, race and gender dynamics; each movement’s impact, the relationship between radicalism and reform; and each movement’s ideas about and relation to the state.

Prerequisite: HIS 200 or HIS 201.
