Justin Lovich

Justin Lovich is an Assistant Professor at the State University of New York, College at Cortland, where he teaches ethics, law, and international history and governance. He has a J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law and B.A. in from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He is completing his Ph.D. in Sport Management at Florida State University, where he was a Doctoral Fellow in the Center for Sport, Health & Equitable Development. His research focus includes sport law, ethics, and governance, with particular emphasis on punishment and justice in sport. He has published research in various academic journals and presented research national and international academic conferences, including those hosted by the North American Society for Sport Management, North American Society for the Sociology of Sport, International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry, and Sport & Recreation Law Association (SRLA). He has also served on the Board of Trustees of SRLA. Before his return to academia, he worked as a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania. While at UNC Wilmington, he was a member of the Seahawks’ Track & Field and Cross Country teams, and he has experience in various capacities in intercollegiate athletics.
