Student Select 2018

Student Select is an annual, juried exhibition that offers SUNY Cortland students an opportunity to share their work with the audience in a professional environment. The event traditionally provides an opportunity to showcase tangible outcomes not only from art and design focused classes but also from students own personal creative activity outside of the classroom. The diverse selection of art produced by art majors, non-traditional students and non-art majors alike honors the quality and dedication of the faculty at SUNY Cortland.
This year’s juror was Peter Beasecker, a practicing artist and professor of Ceramics at Syracuse University, School of Visual and Performing Arts. Mr. Beasecker selected 58 works from 24 artists representing sculpture, ceramics, painting, drawing, photography, fibers, book making, graphic design and video.
This event is sponsored by The Art Exhibition Association.
