Fungi and Human Affairs:
Mushrooms and Molds in Our Lives
Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009

You are invited to a presentation on mushrooms, molds and other fungi.  Fungi are interesting and diverse, and with a few exceptions (athlete's foot, yeasts, blue cheese!), they are not very well known.  Learn about the effects of fungi on people and our planet.  Topics range from fungi that cause human disease, molds in houses, mushrooms and mushroom poisoning, and the key roles of fungi in global ecosystems.

SPEAKERS:   Tim Baroni, distinguished professor, Biological Sciences, SUNY Cortland
Kathie T. Hodge, associate professor, Plant Pathology and Plant-Microbe Biology,
                   Cornell University
