To have a facility, space or non-physical asset at the College named, a donor must meet certain philanthropic requirements.
Physical Assets
For physical assets, the College president, College Foundation and College Council must review and approve the proposal.
Items in this category include buildings, classrooms, conference rooms, laboratories, lobbies, theatres and galleries.
Funds generated through the naming program for physical assets/space will be directed to support the College’s strategic goals.
Non-Physical Assets
Non-physical assets require the review and approval of the College president and the vice president for institutional advancement/executive director of the Cortland College Foundation.
Items in this category include schools, endowed chairs, professorships, centers, academic departments, distinguished lectureships and visiting professors, and visiting scholars and artists –in-residence.
Funds received will be directed to support the area assigned to this asset.
