Why Your Support Matters

When he was homeless during high school, SUNY Cortland junior Joshua Daves once resorted to sleeping in playground tunnels. He recently shared his gripping story in an email to College President Erik J. Bitterbaum. He represents the type of student that the College’s $25 million capital campaign, which wraps up in June, aims to assist.

SUNY to Honor Physical Education Pioneer

Judith E. Rink ’65, an internationally respected authority on physical education and teacher preparation, will receive an honorary doctoral degree from the State University of New York during SUNY Cortland’s Undergraduate Commencement ceremonies.

U.S. President’s Council Recognizes Alumnus

Add yet another honor to the already distinguished career of Emilio “Dee” DaBramo ’48. In early May, the longtime physical education teacher received a 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award from the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition.

Antlers Makes History 

Antlers has connected generations of alumni with their alma mater. The Adirondack camp operated by the College’s Center for Environmental and Outdoor  Education will continue to serve as a touchstone for students and graduates as it changes ownership from Auxiliary Services Corporation to the Cortland College Foundation.
