Alumni Directory Project

Every five years, the SUNY Cortland Alumni Association prints an alumni directory, and the 2011 directory project has begun! Over the next two months, Publishing Concepts, Inc. (PCI) will be contacting SUNY Cortland alumni via mail, phone, and e-mail to request that they update their information. We understand that you might not want to provide your information to just anyone, so we want you to know that PCI’s request for your information is legitimate. More information...

Campus Champions

A kind face with a soft, New Jersey accent has served to open the door to diversity-related clubs and activities here for many a SUNY Cortland student during the last five years. Ann Cutler has served as keyboard specialist in the Multicultural Life Office and plays a highly visible role in planning and carrying out many events, including organizing the office’s annual Unity Celebrations. She is credited with offering the students who seek a diverse campus atmosphere a measure of continuity during several personnel changes in the office. Students say, it has been noted, that Ms. Cutler IS multicultural life at SUNY Cortland. Graduates recall Cutler fondly and often come back to pay her a visit.

Senior Aljamain Sterling of Uniondale, N.Y., goes to the mat, literally, to help his team and his College maintain a national, high-profile athletic standing. Notably, the wrestler earned All-America honors for the second straight season with his sixth-place finish in the 141-pound weight class at the NCAA Div. III Wrestling Championships March 11-12 in La Crosse, Wis. Sterling, a physical education major, finished with a 4-3 record at the national meet. He completed the season with a 28-8 record, and his 87 victories over three seasons ranks 11th all-time at Cortland. Once he steps across the graduation platform, Sterling’s past prowess prepares him to successfully conquer any new challenges in his career and life.
