This first edition of Moments, the SUNY Cortland alumni online newsletter, begins a new chapter in the Alumni Association’s continuing communications with the college's now more than 59,000 graduates.
Along with the new publication, the Alumni Association also is launching myRedDragon Alumni, an online community that we ask you to register for at http://alumni.cortland.edu/registration. Cortland Lands New York Jets

The New York Jets of the National Football League will hold their 2009 summer training camp at SUNY Cortland in August. You can read about the partnership in the upcoming summer Columns. In the meantime, the Alumni Affairs Office is gathering information on any graduates who would be interested in receiving more information about the camp and perhaps meeting the Jets players and coaches...(content outdated)

2009 Commencement Memories

An estimated 1,429 seniors received their baccalaureate degrees during the May 16 undergraduate commencement exercises in the Park Center Alumni Arena. U.S. Army Gen. Ann E. Dunwoody '75, the first female four-star general in American history, and Bert R. Mandelbaum '75, M.D., a well-known orthopedic surgeon and U.S. Soccer Men's National Team Physician since 1991, spoke and received honorary degrees. View the photo gallery.

More than 500 Cortland grads and friends attended the Gillette Stadium alumni tailgate in Foxborough, Mass., on May 24, when the Red Dragon men's lacrosse team won its second NCAA Div. III title in its fourth straight championship game appearance. Cortland defeated Gettysburg 9-7 before 24,072 fans. View a photo gallery of the festivities. |

Yankees-Red Sox Event Canceled
|

|
Due to restructuring of seating and group ticket programs at Yankee Stadium, the Alumni Affairs Office is unable to offer tickets to the Aug. 8 Yankees-Red Sox game. We apologize for any inconvenience. The Alumni Office has obtained a limited number of tickets to the Baltimore Orioles vs. New York Yankees game on Sept. 12. Registration forms will be only available online for this event and will advertized in an e-mail in the near future.
