Academic Honors

SUNY Cortland's faculty and staff are recognized by their peers on state, national and international levels.

SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor Mary Lynch Kennedy, English, received the 2010 Educator of Excellence Award from the New York State English Council.

SUNY Distinguished Professor Timothy Baroni, a professor of biological sciences, received the Mycological Society of America (MSA)'s highest honor, the 2009 MSA Distinguished Mycologist Award.
